- My name is Becky, and mother, Kathy, was diagnosed on July 18th, 2011 with Cholangiocarcinoma, cancer of the bile duct. I started this blog to journal the diagnosis and our feelings we have during this time. My mom passed away in her sleep on November 17, 2011.
